Annette Marie Via

Annette Marie (Aleshire) Via, 83, formerly of Midlothian, Virginia, passed away, with family by her side, on Wednesday March 31, 2021 at the Rucki Center for Hospice Care in Zephyrhills, Florida. Mrs. Via was born on July 27, 1937 in Waynesboro, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Myron Dewey and Ruby Josephine (Dobbins) Aleshire. Her husband, Chester Monroe Via, preceded her in death on March 14, 2012. Mrs. Via was a loving mother, grandmother and devoted military wife who carried on as both her husband and son-in-law were sent to Vietnam and The Persian Gulf War, respectively. Mrs. Via was an avid collector of early American furniture and artifacts, loved gardening and always had a small dog by her side. Late in life, she became a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Via is survived by her children, Michael Monroe Via, of Tampa, FL, Teresa Via Fuata and husband Benedict of Hilo, HI; her brother, Ausby Edward Aleshire of Waynesboro; her grandchildren, Alaina M. Fuata and husband Paul Wozniak and Alison G. Fuata; and her playful dog Pennie. A graveside service will be held on Saturday April 10, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro, with Pastor Joe Shoop officiating.
