Ruby Alice Baska

Ruby “Alice” Baska, 83, of Stuarts Draft, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Augusta Health in Fishersville. She was born in Staunton on July 22, 1937, a daughter of the late John J. and Ruby Lee (Hanger) Huffer. Alice was the last living member of her immediate family. She was a homemaker and a member of Blue Ridge Chapel Church of the Brethren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie Baska; brothers, John Lee and Gary Wayne Huffer, twin brother, Richard Huffer; great-grandson, Gideon Baska; granddaughter, Kelsey Hypes, and her baby. Survivors include her four sons, Ricky Baska and wife, Judy of Stuarts Draft, Jeff Baska and wife, Emily of Rockbridge Bath, Greg Baska and wife, Kim of Stuarts Draft, Jeff Baska and wife, Nichole of Fishersville; daughters, Mary Baska of Stuarts Draft, Tina Hutchinson and husband, Lee of Stuarts Draft, Tammy Frazier and husband, Oscar of Rockbridge Co.; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 19, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, followed by a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Augusta Memorial Park with Pastor Michael Wood officiating.
