Obituary of Clifford Weisner Jr.
Clifford Weisner, Jr., of Greensburg passed away on April 24, 2021 at Columbus Regional Hospital at the age of 76. He was born on November 16, 1944 in Greensburg, Indiana, the son of Clifford and Inez (Mires) Weisner. He was a 1963 graduate of Greensburg Community High School. He married Ruth Ann Patterson on February 23, 1964. Cliff worked at NTN BCA for 41 years before he retired in 2004. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Greensburg where he served as an elder, trustee, Joyful Hearts class facilitator, junior high Sunday school class, custodian, Adams Fund coordinator, Agape Center director, and member of several other committees. He was a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge where he served as a mason and a past master mason. He also served on the Salvation Army Committee and coached youth baseball for several years. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ann Weisner; his children, Chrissy (Paul) Johnson, Jenny (Novie) Bickel, Keith (Sandy) Weisner, and Greg (Jessica) Weisner; his grandchildren, Lauren (Zach) Ray, Lana (Travis) Dicken, Hillary (Nick) Cain, Bailey McDole (Kelsey Marsh), Rebecca McDole (Kyle Scudder), Megan McDole (Jake Buening), Brooke Weisner, Madeline Weisner, Zeke Weisner, Dane Weisner and Ruby Weisner; his great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Israel, Dottie, and Lando Ray, Jason Cazee, John and Cooper McDole, Boden, Evelyn, and Vivian Cain; and his sister, Mary (Bob) Yoder. He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Jeannie Kile Patterson and Patti Strasburger. He loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren, and he especially enjoyed the holidays. He had the best Easter egg hunts and was entertained as his family looked for the “special egg.” His favorite Christmas traditions were watching the grandkids open their presents in age order, passing out silver dollars, and reminding everyone that “times were tough this year.” He enjoyed being outside, growing a garden with the biggest sunflowers and relaxing while he mowed his grass. His favorite pastimes with his sons were fishing and hunting, and he also enjoyed attending his daughters’ plays and musicals. A visitation for family and friends will be held on April 28th, 2021 at the First Christian Church in Greensburg from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral at 1:00 pm. Reverend Danny Wolford will be officiating. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Adams Fund at the First Christian Church.
