Margaret Gust

Margaret Gust, 100, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on April 25, 2021 at Towne House Retirement Center. She was born on November 14, 1920 in Detroit, Michigan to the late James and Lama (Key) McNeely. Margaret graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis in 1939. She then attended Butler University for two years and graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1946. Margaret was a member of Pi Beta Phi College Sorority and attended Simpson United Methodist Church where she served as president of the United Methodist Women and as a volunteer for many other church functions. Margaret and her husband, George A. Gust came to Fort Wayne when he started his law practice in 1952. Together they raised three boys, Jim (Terry) Gust of Wolcottville, Indiana, Gregory (Carole) Gust of Rockwell, Texas, and Thomas (Karen) Gust of Fort Wayne, Indiana. In addition to her three children, Margaret is survived by her grandchildren, Chad Gust, Andy (Joei) Gust, Alex Gust, and Irene (Blake) Martin, Sean Gust; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Paige, Griffin, and Chloe Gust; and sister, Jean (Jim) Hiatt. She was also preceded in passing by her husband, George Gust. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the Towne House Retirement Center 2209 St. Joe Center Road Fort Wayne, Indiana 46825 with visitation beginning at 9:30am.
