Obituary of Russell Park McCullough
Russell Park McCullough, 34, of Fairfax, passed away on April 19, 2021 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Russ was born in Del Rio, Texas to Yong and Patrick McCullough on December 8, 1986. He went to school at Oakton High School and later graduated from George Mason University. He worked as a Director for Elavon, a U.S. Bank company for three years. Russ had a passion for sports and his athletic ability was truly a God given talent. He excelled at every sport he participated in including, soccer, lacrosse, and pole-vaulting. He was a musical enthusiast who played guitar and loved classical cello. He enjoyed fishing and anything in nature. He was a free spirit and enjoyed the finer things in life. He was very close to his mother and brother and they will both agree that the true love of if his life was ‘Griffy’, his beloved mutt that he rescued from a fence-and-chain life to one of true companionship. Russ is survived by his brother, Gregory McCullough; his mother, Yong McCullough; his nephew, Parker McCullough; and his niece, Emilia McCullough. Russ is preceded in death by his father, Patrick McCullough. The McCullough family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Otto Villa from the University Medical Center of New Orleans. A Funeral Service for Russ will be held at 02:00pm on Wednesday, April 28th 2021 at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042. A Graveside Service will be held at 03:00pm at National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042. Pallbearers will be Daniel Tisone, Adam Davidson, Mark Girard, and Gregory McCullough.
