Rolland Dale Murray Jr.

Rolland Dale Murray, Jr. a resident of Virginia Beach passed away Monday, April 26, 2021. He was 74 years old. Dale was born April 19, 1947 in Norfolk, VA. Dale was predeceased by his wife, Brenda P. Murray; parents, Rolland and Frances Murray, Sr.; brothers, Bob and Jimmy. Dale is survived by his sons, Thomas Dale Murray and husband, Chris Abercrombie of Simi Valley, California and Jeffrey Wayne Murray of Virginia Beach; brother, Kenneth Murray and wife, Debbie of Virginia Beach with many nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as Sally Baker of Virginia Beach of whom he spent the last 7 years who brought a smile back to his face and love back into his heart. Dale was a graduate of Norview HS. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Dale was an excellent draftsman and had over 40 years’ experience in the construction industry designing and remodeling homes. He was one of the few that drew his plans by hand. He had his own business RDM Residential Designs, LLC of Virginia Beach. Dale had a host of friends and will be greatly missed. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 5-7pm at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 631 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23462. Services will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 10am, followed by a committal service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23502.
