Benjamin Andrew Withem

Benjamin Andrew Withem 21, of Beech Grove, passed away on May 6, 2021. Ben graduated from Beech Grove High School in 2017. Ben was a friend to all. His free spirit and unmatched love and energy left all that knew him in awe. He was larger than life. He enjoyed skateboarding (he had all the broken bones to show it), exploring and traveling. Ben was the "Light Wizard" and operated lights at festivals and entertainment venues! This was his passion. He was also an accomplished pianist and loved music. Ben was an Activist and spent some time last summer peacefully protesting downtown Indianapolis. Ben loved everyone and viewed everyone as equal. He didn't have a materialistic bone in his body and had a heart of gold. Ben is survived by his parents; Michelle Withem and Eric (Peggy) Withem, sister; Erin Withem, grandparents; Russ and Sandi Irvine and John and Donna Withem, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 5:30-7:30pm at Sarah Bolton Park in Beech Grove. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 6:00pm.
