Edward Oliver Cromwell Sr.

Edward Oliver Cromwell Sr., 87, passed away on Tuesday morning June 8, 2021, Ed was born in September 12, 1933. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Samuel Cromwell and Alvina Cromwell; sister, Christine Fowler; son, James Cromwell; stepsons, Alan and Steven Trundy. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 56 years, Nancy Cromwell; his Lhasa Alpso, Smokey; son, Edward Cromwell Jr.; daughter-in-law, Monica Cromwell; eight step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Ed served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He moved with his family to Hampton, Virginia in 1972. He was a supervisor at Newport News Shipbuilding for 20 years and retired 1995. He was most recently employed with Admiral Security. Ed’s biggest joy was his family and spending time on the water in his beloved boat. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Hampton Memorial Gardens, 155 Butler Farm Rd, Hampton, Virginia 23666.
