Ingrid Carita Schwartz

Ingrid Carita Schwartz of Annandale, Virginia, passed away Wednesday June 30, 2021. Ingrid was born December 6, 1932 in Voikka Finland, the daughter of Tryggve and Karin Wiklund. She was a graduate of the University of Helsinki, a dedicated Foreign Service wife and member of Saint Alban’s Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, career Foreign Service officer, Andrew Joseph Schwartz. She is survived by her sister Clara Birgitta Brandels and her husband Ove, her sons Michael Frederic Schwartz and Eric Andrew Schwartz (Pam) and her two granddaughters Jennifer Schwartz Kiser (Chris) and Erin Marie Schwartz. The Rev. Jeff Shankles will lead a Celebration of Life service on July 17, 2021, at 10:00 AM at St. Alban's Episcopal Church, 6800 Columbia Pike, Annandale VA 22003. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Cancer Research Institute, the Michael J. Fox Foundation, or to the charity of your choice.
