Mary Louise Corley

Mary L. Corley, age 83, of Ashland, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 9, 2021. Mary was born March 19, 1938 to the late Henry and Sarah Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Corley and her son, Bernard Corley Jr. Mary was a long time member of the Shady Grove United Methodist Church in Mechanicsville. Her community will remember her from their local Walmart where she gave patrons a joyful greeting and a warm smile. She loved spending time with her family and her pets. Mary also enjoyed cooking and fishing. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Joseph Corley (Debra) and Joyce Wright (Charles); daughter-in-law, Laurie Corley; grandchildren, Joshua Wright, Travis Corley (Chelsea), Joseph Corley, Jr. (Nicole), and Matthew Corley (Lavender); great-grandchildren, Maddie Wright, Dylan Wright, Harper Corley, Riley Corley, Carter Corley, and Catherine Corley; and her siblings, Jean Allison, Maxine Grimes, and Shorty Williams. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Nelsen Ashland, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005. A graveside service will occur 11:00 AM on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Signal Hill Memorial Park, 12360 Hanover Courthouse Road, Hanover, VA 23069.
