Billy H Dubberly

Billy Hugh Dubberly, 77, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, September 30th, 2021. Bill was born in Glennville, GA and was the youngest son of Mr. Alvin and Mrs. Helen Dubberly. He joined the Air Force in 1961, and was last stationed at Langley Air Force Base, in Hampton, VA. In 1964, he married the love of his life, Geraldine. Bill left the Air Force in 1968 to join Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Company where he had a 40 year career in shipbuilding. In 2017, he and his wife of 57 years moved permanently to Phoenix, AZ in order to be closer to his son and his family. Bill was an avid handyman and enjoyed volunteering his time to church projects. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine, their son, Rob and daughter in law, Grace, of Phoenix, and their three children, Robert II, Hugh, and Grant. He is also survived by his sister Libby Sapp of Glennville, GA, nieces and nephews and many friends. Funeral services will take place at Maranatha Baptist Church in Yorktown, VA on Saturday, October 16 with visitation beginning at 11 a.m., followed by the service at 12 p.m. Burial services will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park in Hampton, VA.
