IN THE CARE OF
Woody Funeral Home-Parham
Kien Gia Luu left us unexpectedly on Saturday, September 25, 2021. Kien Gia was born in Vietnam on August 26th, 1975. He attended Hermitage High School. Shortly after high school, he joined the United States Army from 1995 and was honorably discharged in 1999. His experience in the military provided him the opportunity to receive further education in the technology sector.
Kien Gia was soft spoken but had a lot to share when he spoke. He was kind and generous to everyone he met. He was especially generous to his nieces and nephews. He was particularly loved by his parents and siblings. He spent his last months in Ohio with his cousins where he was happy and doing well. He left an impact to all who knew him including the friends he left behind. If he had one last conversation with you, he would tell you to take care of yourselves, be kind to one another and live life to the fullest.
Kien Gia was preceded in death by his older sister, Kiet Chi Luu. He is survived by his parents-Hien Tu and Muoi Luu, his older brother-Chris Tsui, older sisters-To Chi Metcalf and Kim Luu-Tu and his younger sister-Stephanie Thornton. Funeral services will be held at Woody’s Funeral Home, 1711 North Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23229 on Friday, October 8th, 2021 from 10:00AM to Noon.
