Dorothy "Dotty" A. Bannon, 79, of Avon Indiana, died October 6th, 2021.
Dotty was born August 4, 1942 to James & Alyce Renihan in Gulfport, Mississippi. She married the love of her life, Bill Bannon, on March 24, 1985.
She is survived by her brother Larry Renihan (Margaret), sisters Debby Moore (Jewel) and Teri Cline (Steve), and her 6 children William Fitzgerald, Tony Bannon (Sherry), Cheryl Fitzgerald, Robert Fitzgerald (Tina), Teresa Bannon-Nelis and Melinda Holman (Paul).
Dotty worked as a waitress for 40+ years in Zionsville, IN. Her most coveted role in life was raising her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved being around family, friends, neighbors and even striking up a conversation with a stranger. She enjoyed gambling, the telephone, social media, day time talk shows, soap operas, pigs, cigarettes, ice cream, kids sporting events, Indiana Beach, holidays, but most of all......her family. The time she spent with all her family including her 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren meant everything to her.
Dotty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and person. She helped people in need, accepted everyone no matter their faults and always wanted to see everyone happy. The love she gave to her family will live on forever.
