Worner Loan Fitzgerald

Worner Lee (Loan) Fitzgerald, 79, of Stuarts Draft passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Augusta Health. Born February 6, 1942 in Augusta County, she was a daughter of the late Arnotte Wilson and Margaret (Glendye) Loan. Worner was a member of Stuarts Draft Full Gospel Church. Prior to retirement, she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Avante Nursing Home in Waynesboro for 32 faithful years. She was a member of the Sherando-Lyndhurst Ruritans Club for 27 years. Worner greatly enjoyed cooking for her family, crocheting, arranging flowers, and playing card games with family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph W. Fitzgerald; brothers, Erby C. Loan, Arnotte Loan and John H. Loan; sisters-in-law, Maxine Loan and Betty Loan; and nephew, Clinton D. Loan. Survivors include her three siblings, Leland Loan and wife, Lyndel of Raphine, Alta Jane Liptrap and husband, Roxy of Stuarts Draft, and Mildred Loan of Stuarts Draft; nieces and nephews, Kathy Allen, Alice Loan, Frances Carter, Buck Loan, Janet Griffin, Daniel Loan, David Loan, Douglas Loan, Donnie Loan, and Ernest Liptrap; special friends, Kelly Bruce, David Reid, Margaret Roach, and Anna Rose; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and many good friends; and her fur babies, Hannah and Trudy. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 1870 Stuarts Draft Highway, Stuarts Draft. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2021 at the funeral home with Rev. Bill Watson officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary United Methodist Church Cemetery, Stuarts Draft. Active pallbearers will be Buck Loan, Daniel Loan, David Loan, Allen Robertson, Dale Loan, David Reid, and Larry Roach.
