Dorothy M Bassett

Dorothy M. Bassett, 90 passed away Tuesday November 16, 2021 at The Townhouse Retirement Community in Fort Wayne IN. She was born October 12, 1931 in Grayson County, KY., to late James G. and Edna I. Ledford. She graduated from South Side High school in 1949, and earn her Bachelor’s from Fort Wayne International Business College. Dorothy worked at IPFW for 10 years and retired in 1994. She is survived by he children, Clifton James Bassett of Fort Wayne, IN; Allan Hugh Bassett of Columbia, SC Wendy L Bassett of Fort Wayne, IN; brother Jimmy of OH; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Clifton Hugh Bassett in 2012. Visitation will be from 3-6 Sunday November 21, 2021 at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home 4017 Maplecrest Road Fort Wayne, IN. Private burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Crossroads of IPFW.
