Elaine Hamlin Almquist

Elaine Almquist, 87, of Nashville, passed away at her home August 10, 2010. She was born January 16, 1923, in Spooner, WI. the daughter of Bill & Marie (Washburn) Hamblin, who preceded her in death. She was a local artist. Elaine was a member of Nashville United Methodist Church, Brown County Literary Society, & Brown County Art Gallery. Survivors are, husband, Alan T. Almquist, Nashville, daughter, Lynne Turner, Mooresville, grandchildren, Samantha Bernabeo, CA., Jeff Sims, OH., siblings, Bill Hamblin, WI., Carol Lallemont, WI., Marilyn Swanson, IN., & Nancy Cartee, IL. Loretta Rutledge, IL Mary Ann McMurray, CA., Michael Hamblin, WI.,& Gretchen Race, WI. She was preceded by a sister, Faith Lambert. A funeral service will be at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, Nashville, Thursday, August 12 at 2:00 P.M., with Rev. Fred Haywood officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
