Ruth E. Arney Adams

Ruth E. Adams, 90, of Avon, formally from Ft Wayne, passed away Wednesday, September, 1, 2010 at Avon Health and Rehab. She was born October 29, 1919 in Ft Wayne. She was one of eleven children and graduated in 1938 from North Side High School. She loved to sew and worked at Rankin's Dime Store and Stillman's Southgate in fabrics dept. She was a longtime member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and attended Christ United Methodist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Linda L. (Woody) Smith, of Avon; sons, Paul E. (Peg) Adams, of Greenfield; and Greg A. (Deb) Adams, of Ossian; 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd in 2000, son, William and daughter, Sharon Adams. Funeral Service 11:00am Saturday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton, 6424 Winchester Rd. Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd. Visitation Friday 5-8pm at the funeral home. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery.
