David "Dave" Michael Armstead, 43, of 241 Mountain Mist Drive in Martinsville, VA and formerly of Port Huron, Michigan, died Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA, from complications following a bee sting. He was born in Port Huron, Michigan, May 15, 1967, to Clark and Norma Force Armstead of Marysville, Michigan. He was employed by Monogram Foods in Martinsville and attended Rich Acres Christian Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Renee L. Armstead of the residence in Martinsville; two daughters, Ashley Fiedler and Alexis Armstead; one son, Kristian Armstead, all of the residence; one sister, Rhonda (Jon) Ayotte of Marysville, Michigan; one brother, Brandon (Tina) Armstead of Brown City, Michigan; brother-in-law, Rick Stoner; in-law parents, Gene and Linda Stoner; beloved granddaughter, Jayme Lynn Fiedler, and a very special friend, Jonathan Adkins. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Ethan Bagwell.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Blue Water Free Methodist Church, 1963 Allen Road, Kimball, Michigan with Pastor Paul Parker officiating. Visitation and family sharing time will be one hour prior to the service.
A memorial service will also be held Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 5:00 P.M. at Rich Acres Christian Church in Martinsville, VA with Minister Tim Hunt and Minister Steven Mills officiating.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
