Carrie B. Herdman Rouns

CARRIE B. ROUNS, 92, of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010. Born in Hubbard, Ohio, she worked at Peter Eckrich in Fort Wayne, and retired in 1983, after 25 years of service. Surviving are sons, Francis "Bud" V. (Gloria) Rouns Jr. and Carl E. Rouns, both of Fort Wayne; brother, Albert Smiley; sisters, Lillian Ebon and Felicia Saltis; daughter-in-law, Kathrine K. Rouns; grandchildren, Traci (Bill) McGettigan of Harlan, Jeff Rouns, Chad (Heather) Rouns, Adam (Jill) Rouns of Chicago; eight great-grandchildren, Marissa, Shawn Liam, Kei'Anna, Kylee, Aiden, Logan, and Owen; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Francis "Bud" Rouns Sr.; mother, Felicia Smiley; daughter, Jacquelin Rouns; son, Rodger "Ted" Rouns; and her parents. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St. with calling from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
