Brenda J. Babb

Brenda J. Babb, 69, died June 9, 2011. She was born September 6, 1941, in Deep Valley, W.Va., to Kermit E. and Blanche G. (Duty) Gatrell. Mrs. Babb was raised in Ohio and moved to Fort Wayne in 1968 with her husband and family. She retired from Lincoln National Life in 1991. She had been a resident at Covington Manor. Survivors include her husband of fifty-one years, Ralph: two sons, Kevin (Linda) Babb of Fort Wayne, Scott Babb of North Manchester; daughter Mrs. Daniel (Christine) Taylor of Fort Wayne; 6 grandchildren; two brothers, Wayne (Ellen) Gatrell of Fostoria, OH, Bret Gatrell of Carey, OH; eight sisters Mrs. Richard (Sonja) Zirger, Barbara Davis, Mrs. Michael (Connie) Gundlach and Robyn Gatrell, all of Fostoria, Melvena Clink of Findley, OH, Mrs. Steve (Kathie) Balser of Scotia, N.Y., and Mrs. Frank (Patricia) Green of Ocala, FL and Mrs. William (Jannice) Wilson of Johnstown, OH. A brother, Philip Gatrell; two sisters, Marlene D. Gatrell and Deanna Delph are also deceased. Services at the Klaehn Fahl and Melton, 420 W Wayne Street, will be 11:00a.m. Tuesday. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton, Wayne St. Chapel. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Preferred memorials to Covington Manor. www.klaehnfahlmelton.com
