M. Frances Finnegan Brown

M. Frances Finnegan Brown, 84, of Indianapolis, was called to Heaven September 29, 2011. She was born September 28, 1927 in Peekskill, New York, to Charles F. and Mary F. (Lounsbury) Finnegan. She graduated from Mary Washington College at University of Virginia in 1949. She worked at Sears in the credit department for 18 years retiring in 1993. Frances was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church where she was a lectern and Eucharistic Minister. She was a volunteer at Little Flower Catholic School and with the Woman’s Auxiliary at Community Hospital East. She was a 23 year survivor of breast cancer and participated in the Race for the Cure annually. She so enjoyed many group trips to her beloved Ireland. Frances is survived by her children Catherine Brown, Patricia (Gregory) Bierck, John (Debbie), James (Ann), Robert, Thomas, Steven (Denise Gentory) and William (Julie) Brown, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Funeral Service will be Tuesday October 4, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church. Viewing will be Monday October 3, 2011 4 – 8 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
