Obituary of Nyoka Kay Miller Clifford
Nyoka Kay Miller Clifford Nyoka Kay Miller Clifford went home to be with the Lord on October 24, 2011 at her residence in Greencastle, Indiana. She was born on March 2, 1943 in Clay County Indiana. Nyoka was the daughter of Lilly Ilah (Stroub) and Fred August Miller. She married Robert E. Clifford on June 18, 1966 and he preceded her in death on December 31, 1992. She was a long time member of the Greencastle Moose Lodge. She loved Elvis Presley, gardening, knitting, Bingo and cooking. She also shared her love for cooking with the lucky patrons of both Mill Creek Inn and the Greencastle Bowling Alley. In addition to being a full time mother, Nyoka enjoyed a long Avon career, during which time she received the Prestigious Abby Award several times. Nyoka is survived by her daughters; Ilah Dolly (Robert) Murphy, Bobbie Jo (Rob) Higgins, Roberta Katherine (Curtiss) Davis, son; Lawrence Eugene (Richelle) Clifford, stepchildren; Debra Lynn (Lee) Morgan, Robert Lyndsey (Brenda) Clifford. Grandchildren; Dixie Kay (Robert) Huey, Whitney LeAnn (Matt) Ray, Ariel BreAnn Higgins, Hunter Brandon Higgins, Haley K’Ann Thompson, Kirsten Leigh Davis, Larry Curtiss Davis III.; Justin Norwood(Meghan) Morgan, Austin Lee Morgan, Jennifer Lynn Morgan, Melanie Lee Morgan, Ida Clifford; Robert Lyndsey Clifford; Daniel Lee Clifford; Jessica Lynn Clifford; two great grandchildren, Briar Alexis Huey and Brayson Norwood Morgan; sister, Nina Katherine (George) Burnett. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two sisters, Ruby Neoma Johnson and Nona Faye Phelps. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with Pastor Curtiss Davis officiating. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 pm on Wednesday, October 26th .
