Obituary of Mary Louise Asbury
Mary Louise (Gearhart) Asbury, 90, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Edon, Ohio, passed away March 29, 2012 at Heritage Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after battling Alzheimer’s for nearly 10 years. Born May 24, 1921 in Toledo, Ohio, she grew up in Stroh, Indiana and graduated in 1939 from Salem Center, Stroh. On August 31, 1941, she married Paul M. Asbury, he preceded her in death, December, 1995. Surviving are her daughter, Paula (Jerry) Freeze, of Fort Wayne; grandson, Kevin Cline, of Hicksville, Ohio; granddaughter, Amy (Frank) Arnold, of Slidell, Louisiana and step-granddaughter, Michelle (Andy) Cambron, of Fort Wayne. Also surviving are four great grandsons, two great granddaughters, a step great granddaughter, a step great grandson, along with cousins, John (Marilyn) Toner, of Edon, Ohio and Margie (Dick) Eckert, of Whitehouse, Ohio. Mrs. Asbury requested no service and cremation will take place. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association. “We can’t thank Heritage Park enough for the excellent care and being our extended family the last four ½ years and especially to the Team Angels when family couldn’t be there.
