Myrlene Hubartt Bear

Myrlene M. Bear, 80 of Huntington passed away at 2:30 a.m. on Friday, April 6, 2012 at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. She had worked at Triad-Utrad/Magnetek for many years. She was a member of the First Brethren Church of Huntington; she was a lifetime member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 255 of Huntington. She enjoyed mushroom hunting, gardening and doing puzzles. Myrlene was born on October 9, 1931 in Huntington, the daughter of Fred and Marjorie (Herzog) Hubartt. She was united in marriage to Billy W. Bear, Sr. on June 5, 1948 in Huntington. He preceded her in death on November 26, 1997. Survivors include a son: Billy W. Bear, Jr. of Huntington; three daughters: Vicki (Donald) Bowers of Huntington; Susan (James) Walker of Huntington; Debbie (Michael) Smith of Huntington; eleven grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson: Christopher Bear, a brother: Jay Hubartt and a half-brother: Gypsy Martin. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 9, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. Services will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Dianna Teusch officiating. Memorials are to Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750. Interment will take place at a later date.
