Robert “Bob” Franklin Banter, 64, Kokomo, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2012, at North Woods Village. He was born August 11, 1947, in Kokomo, to Flynn Banter and Helen (Coleman) Cunningham.
He retired from Kokomo Sanitary Pottery. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to the lake. He also enjoyed playing Bingo, loved going to Vegas, and cherished spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother; son, Robert “Bob” Flynn Banter, Kokomo; daughter, Ginger Michelle Weideman, Kokomo; five grandchildren, Blake Banter, Mea Banter, Nick Weideman, Wade Weideman, and Madison Johanning; brother, Jim Midgett, Florida; and sister, Marcia Vanderveen, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters, Jackie Ringeet and Bonnie Hinkle.
The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial condolences may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Online messages of condolence may be made at www.sunsetmemorygarden.com.
