Katelynn Renae Alderman

Katelynn Renae Alderman, 14, of Madison Heights, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012 at her home. Katelynn was born October 20, 1997 in Prince Frederick, MD and was the daughter of William Andrew “Andy’ and Michelle Flemming Alderman. She was a home schooled student who had just completed the eighth grade. Katelynn was a very talented young lady who loved horses, art, and the theater. On Wednesday evening Katelynn performed in the play, Alice in Wonderland at Grace Evangelical Free Church in Lynchburg. She was of Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Katelynn is survived by her brother, Blake Ryan Alderman; her maternal grandparents, Tom and Anna Flemming of Sunderland, MD; her paternal grandparents, Sam and Wanda Mudd of Huntingtown, MD and Joseph Alderman of Vesta, VA. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Monday, June 4, 2012 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. John Pickett officiating. Interment will follow at Meade Cemetery in Madison Heights. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m., Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
