Sally C. Barb

Sally C. Barb, 90 of Huntington passed away Monday afternoon, June 4, 2012 at the Tipton House Assisted Living in Huntington. Mrs. Barb had worked in Bookkeeping for several years at the Lloyd Corporation in Rockford, IL. She moved to Huntington in 1991. She was a member of the Central Christian Church in Huntington. Sally was born on July 31, 1921 in Waucoma, IA, a daughter of Andrew O. and Hilda B. (Watne) Bergeson. She was united in marriage to Carl DeWayne Barb on February 18, 1949 in Iowa. He preceded her in death on October 30, 1989. Survivors include three sons: Gary (Barbara) Barb of Milton, WI, James (Susan) Barb of DunDee, MI and Allan (Robin) Barb of Huntington; a daughter: Mary (Gordon) Cochrane of Roanoke. 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. A brother: Arthur Bergeson of Albert Lea, MN and two sisters: Olga Johnson and Gertrude Sorenson both of Albert Lea, MN. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Harold, Joseph and Howard Bergeson. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. Graveside Services will take place at a later date at the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Loves Park, IL.
