Florence G. Ballantyne, 77, of Rockville, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at her home. She was born on July 17, 1935, in Grand Rapids, MI to Anthony and Mary (Callaghan) Snarski. She married Paul Ballantyne on November 30, 1980. She was a talented artist, specializing in oil paintings. Her passion for art led her to become a member of the Covered Bridge Art Association. She also served on the Board of Directors for the Montezuma Library. Flo was a devoted wife and mother and will be greatly missed.
Flo is survived by her husband of 32 years, Paul; children, Michael Kuk and his wife Sueann of Lincoln City, OR, Janice Djusprtom and her husband Bruce of Pembine, WI, Donald Kuk of Hillsdale, David Kuk and his wife Kat of Rosedale, Patrick Porter of Dacula, GA, Donna Resnik and her husband Carl of , MD, Virginia Pollard and her husband Mike of Hillsdale, Patricia Robinson and her husband Mark of Snohomish, WA, and Paul Phillip Ballantyne of Twenty-Nine Palms, CA; 27 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, sisters, Carol Hadfield of Twenty-Nine Palms, CA, Lorilynn Ladd of MI, brothers, Tony Snarski of Wyoming, MI and Robert Snarski of White Cloud, MI; many nieces and nephews, her beloved miniature schnauzers, Smoky Joe and Buddy, and cat, Coco.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charles Callaghan.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.roselawnfuneralhome.net
