John William Ball

John William Ball, 42, of Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2012, at his residence. He was born on January 18, 1970, in Terre Haute to Donald and Gloria (Coombes) Ball. John was quiet, caring, and compassionate. He enjoyed farming. John is survived by his mother, Gloria Ball of Terre Haute;a brother, Adam Ball of Terre Haute; step-sons, Joshua Brown, and Mark Brown, all of Terre Haute; step-grandchildren, Mark Anthony Brown and Joshua Lee Brown, Jr.; a half-sister, Linda Downing of Terre Haute, and a nephew, Matthew Fields of Terre Haute. He was preceded in death by his father, and maternal and paternal grandparents. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 17, 2012 at Lyford Bible Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lyford Bible Church’s Children’s Camp. Mattox-Wood Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
