Debra Ann Bazemore

Debra Ann Bazemore, High School sweet heart, teen age bride and mother, and beloved companion, born September 9, 1954, departed this Earth for a greater Kingdom, October 2, 2012. She was preceded in death by her brother Daniel Dawdy; her sister Mary Dawdy, and her father, Bill Dawdy. Left to cherish Debra’s memory is her beloved and devoted husband of 41 years, Mark A. Bazemore; her mother, Gertrude Ann Dawdy; son, Sean M. Bazemore, daughter, Danielle L. Alley; grandsons Trent and Treyson and granddaughter Gabrielle. She will also be deeply missed by her sisters, Amy Cummings and Nancy Brinkman; brothers, Tom, Paul and John Dawdy and numerous other loving relatives and friends. Debra tackled every aspect of life with zeal, love and a caring for any and all she touched. Please join us at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel for a viewing on Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 10:00 am for a Mass of Christian Burial. A wake will be held at the family home following the Mass. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donations be made to the St. Jude’s Foundation.
