Alan Howard Levy

Verona: Alan Howard Levy, 61, of Verona, passed away on Tuesday February 19, 2013 at the University of Virginia. Alan was born on August 26, 1951 in the Bronx, NY and was a son of the late Arthur and Adele (Greenburg) Levy. He was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Staunton. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Alan loved meeting and getting to know new people with his extraordinary ability to light up a room. He had a tremendous love for life, for his family, and for his church. On September 28, 1980 he married the former Lorraine Nastasi who survives. In addition to his wife, Alan is survived by two sons, Mark Levy and wife Lacey of Roanoke, VA, Steven Levy of Winchester, VA; a daughter, Lisa Ann Streeter and husband William of Marcy, NY; and three beloved grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held on Friday February 22, 2013 at 10 am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Staunton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus, 118 N. New St., Staunton, VA 24401.
