William Glenn Strahl

William Glenn Strahl, 93, of Evansville, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013, at his home. He was born May 9, 1919, in Tell City, to the late William Jack and Mary (Miller) Strahl.
He was a WWII Army Veteran and a Prisoner of War, receiving a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a life member of the VFW and a member of the American Legion and Owls. He retired as a mechanic for General Motors.
William is survived by his wife of 22 years, Mary Strahl; daughter, Florence Strahl; son, Raymond Strahl; brothers, Jack and Leroy Strahl; step-daughter, Linda Tisdale; step-sons, Ron, Timothy, Elza Joe and Bryon Greene; grandchildren, David and Jeff Grant, Michelle Ashby and Susan Merriam; step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, February 25, 2013, at Alexander West Chapel, with entombment in Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
