Zinat Abtahi (October 25th 1926 – April 21st 2013) Funeral Date: Thursday April 25, 2013 Our beloved Zinat Abtahi at age 86 passed away peacefully and surrounded by her children at Inova Fairfax Hospital on Sunday, April 21st at 9:00 p.m. Zinat’s funeral service will commence at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 25th. Her body will be washed and shrouded at Aden Muslim Funeral Services (1242 Easy St. Woodbridge, VA, 22191) www.AdenMuslimFuneral.com Following this service, the burial will take place at 3:00 p.m. at National Memorial Park Cemetery(7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042). After the burial, there will be a reception at Cafe Rose (126 West Maple Avenue Vienna, VA, 22180) to celebrate Zinat’s extraordinary life. Zinat Abtahi was born October 25th 1926 in Tehran, Iran. She is survived by her children and spouses; Azam (Ahmad Damood), Ezzat, Effat (Iraj Shakeri), Shirin (Ali Hariri), Farhad (Bahareh Bokaie), daughter in law Rouhangiz Sharbati, 11 loving grandchildren:Shiva, Azarakhsh, Arash, Roshanak, Azadi, Aydin, Roksana, Rouzbeh, Pouya, Bardiya & Arshiya, 5 great grandchildren: Atash, Parsa, Arta, Nira & Aveen, her brother Mehdi Abtahi, 3 sisters in law, Aghdas Mohammadi Shoja, Simin Pariafsai & Aghdas Safa. Sadly, Zinat was preceded in death by her beloved son Javad Razavi in August 2010. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, and support in many heart-felt forms from too many people to name individually. This is in honor of our dearest Zinat, her memory will be carried on in the legacy of love which is now each of us – the lives she formed and the ones she touched by her love and compassion.
