Murphy Funeral Homes
Francis E. “Frankie” Zink passed way in her Arlington, Virginia home on 22 of June 2013. “Frankie” was an Indiana girl whose roots trace back to the founding of Purdue University, where which she was a graduate. Raised by her widowed mother, Frankie developed into a strong, independent woman who championed women’s rights. She frequently contributed to relevant political and social causes. Frankie was an active and avid volunteer. She graciously gave of her time to volunteer organizations all over the Washington, D.C. area. Frankie was active well into her 90’s, thriving on friendships with retired Air Force acquaintances, members of Cherrydale United Methodist Church and various Arlington neighborhood groups. She was a ray of sunshine to all who knew her and will be sorely missed.
In lieu of flowers, donation to a charity of your choice has been suggested by the family.
