Franklin Wayne Allred
January 31, 1931 – June 25, 2013

Franklin W. “Wayne” Allred, 82 of Warren passed away at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at his residence. Wayne was a 1950 graduate of West Rockcreek High School. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp from September 1951 – September 1953. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed all types of sports, especially the New York Yankees.
He was born on January 3, 1931 in Huntington, the son of Frank D. and Mary (Beck) Allred.
He was united in marriage to Coleen Sparks on December 2, 1951 in Huntington. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include two daughters: Deborah (Mike) Peek of Harlan; Teresa (Joe) Hosler of Huntington; three sisters: Mary Lou Haworth of Florida; Georgia Karst of Fort Wayne; Marjorie Mickley of Huntington; six grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son: Kevin W. Allred, a sister: Avis Freds and his parents: Frank and Mary Allred.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 28, 2013 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 6:00 pm following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel.
Private family interment will take place at the Markle Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made out to Markle Fish & Game Club in care of Myers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 403, Markle, IN 46770.
