Rhonda Walden Evans
December 7, 1961 – August 21, 2013

Rhonda W. Evans, 51, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 after a long battle with breast cancer. She was born at Hahn Air Base in West Germany and was a resident of Hampton for the past 26 years where she was a Home School teacher for her children.
She was a graduate of Kubaski High School in Okinawa, Japan and of Christopher Newport College with a BS in Chemistry. Prior to Home Schooling her children, Rhonda was employed with Directorate of Information Management (DIOM), Ft. Monroe, VA, where she was a Computer Assistant.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her father, Colonel Ray Y. Walden, Jr., USAF. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, David Evans; her daughter, Elizabeth Evans; her son, David R. Evans II; her mother, Arlene B. Walden; four brothers, Ray Walden (Debbie), Randy Walden (Missy), Rusty Walden (Becky) and Rob Walden (Kathy).
A celebration of Rhonda's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to American Cancer Society at https://donate.cancer.org/index.
