Edward Michael Fekety

Edward M. Fekety, 83, went home to be with the Lord on November 9, 2013. He was born on March 24, 1930 to the late Catherine and Daniel Fekety in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He is survived by his daughter Robin D. Gronemus and husband David of Chesapeake, VA; half-brother Michael Feketi and wife Cindy of Wyoming; grandchildren Matthew L. Gronemus and wife Jenny of Falls Church, VA and Catherine G. Nash and husband Justin of Chantilly, VA. He is also survived by his dear friend Margie Toole. Mr. Fekety attended Coleman Place Presbyterian Church where he was a Choir member and Class Treasurer. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias, Tarrallton Sr.’s Club and VFW Post 4809. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Radioman from 1948-1952. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 from 6-8PM at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, 818 Norview Ave., Norfolk VA. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 10AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
