ROBERT WILSON, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013 (Veteran's Day), in Fort Wayne. Bob was born on Dec. 29, 1919, in LaGrange County. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II, earning an Asia Pacific Theater Ribbon with one Bronze Star. He attended the Sherman Street and Tillman Road Churches of God. Surviving are his wife, Virginia (Burns) Wilson (whom he married in 1995); sons, Robert Wilson and Lester (Bobbie Sue) Wilson; granddaughters, Stephannie (Dan) Hoff, Abbie (Brad) Dupay and Victoria Wilson; grandsons, Thomas Wilson, Zeke (Amanda) Wilson, Daniel Wilson, and Zach Wilson; great-grandsons, Jonathan and Jase; stepchildren, Patricia (Manuel) Paitan, Thomas (Marcia) Burns, Dr. David (Gayle) Burns, Paul (Joan) Burns, and James (Kerry) Burns; 10 step-grandchildren; and 11 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Virginia (Walling) Wilson, in 1993; and daughter-in-law, Sally Wilson, in 2012. Service is 11 a.m. Friday at the Tillman Road Church of God, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at C.M.
