Dennis W. Cable

Dennis W. Cable, 90, of Evansville departed this world for a better one on, Friday, February 7, 2014. Dennis was born January 8, 1924 in Butler, TN, the son of Arthur and Trula Cable. He graduated from Watuga Academy. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a 32nd degree Mason. He retired from Keller Crescent. When his health was good he was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching many sports. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Erlene (Ridens) Cable; son, Dennis W. Cable, II of Bacliff, TX; daughter, Patsy Smith (Raby) of Evansville; brother, Hollis Cable of Hampton, TN; grandchildren, Lisa & Roger Boarman of Evansville, Dr. Ryan & Krista Cable of Denver, CO, Sarah & Joe Schmitt of Corydon, IN, Heather Cable of TX; great-grandchildren, Addison Apodaca, Ryan Cable, Grace Eileen, Jack, Payton; newest great-grandson, Benjamin; stepsons, Randy (Teresa) Ridens and John (Janie) Ridens. Dennis was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith Eileen (Harrawood) Cable; his parents; sisters, Marie, Ella Mae, Gladys, Beatrice; brothers, Ronald, Haskel, and Kermit all of Eastern TN. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Bethel Manor especially, RN’s, Diane, Beth; CNA’s, Louise, Latoya, Sophie, Crystal and Gentiva Hospice, RN’s, Brandy and Audrey. Services will be 1:30PM, Monday, February 10, 2014, at Alexander North Chapel with entombment at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery.
