Benjamin Kenneth Cole

Benjamin Kenneth Cole, 92, of Evansville, passed away Friday, March 14, 2014, after a long struggle with Mylo Dysplasia. He was born on December 4, 1921 and was the baby of the family. Born in the great depression, times were hard.
Benjamin joined the Navy and became a SEA BEE special unit, who painted signs on the camps in the Pacific islands during the war. He was a sailor, builder of boats, artist and loved being outside in his gardens through the years. He worked at Whirlpool for 38 years, retiring in 1983.
He was a great father, grandfather, and friend. He will be greatly missed.
Benjamin was preceded in death by his precious wife of 65years, Virginia; his parents, Ben and Lydia; two sisters, Irene and Vernie Rose.
He is survived by his daughter Brenda Fulkerson (Bob); and two grandsons, Kenny and Brock Fulkerson.
Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Robert A. Nall, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
