Ja'Marion Tyreek Dawson

Ja’Marion Tyreek “Monk” Dawson, age 6, of Front Royal died Saturday, April 19, 2014 in Front Royal. A Homegoing celebration will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens. Monk was born in Warrenton on November 19, 2007, a son of Devin Michael Copeland and Ashley Dawson. He attended kindergarten at Hilda J. Barbour Elementary School. He enjoyed video games, football, bike riding, dancing, singing especially Rap, and playing at Ms. Florence Smith Park. Monk was a loving young man who will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Monk is survived by his brother, Devon Breeden; his sisters, Dimya Rose Dawson, Kaliya Copeland, and Izabella Copeland; his maternal grandparents, Fran and Larry Dawson; and his paternal grandmother, Patricia Jones. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Larry Dawson, Shawn Dawson, Damon Jones, and Devon Durnat.
