Robert James “Bert” Leftwich, II, 28, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017. Bert was born June 6, 1988, to Robert J. “Bob” Leftwich and Laura Maddox Leftwich in Culpeper, VA; was a member of the Brandy Baptist Church; enjoyed Mag Fest and Mag Stock. He was a kind and gentle person who loved his family and friends. He also was a cat lover.
Surviving Bert is his mother, Laura Maddox and her friend John Mask of Culpeper, VA; his father, Robert J. “Bob” Leftwich and his wife Rebecca of Warrenton, VA; his siblings Alan and Sarah Peck of Warrenton, VA; his grandparents, Mary Lou Leftwich of Culpeper, VA and Richard “Dickie” and Ellen Maddox of Elkwood, VA and his uncles, Ron Leftwich of Culpeper, Richard Maddox and his wife Faith of Warrenton and Philip Maddox and his wife Jenny of Columbia, MD. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, James Leftwich.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Stan Mulford conducting the service. Interment will follow in Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lignum, VA.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 3, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Clore-English Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to the Humane Society of Culpeper, 415 S. Main St. Suite 203, Culpeper, VA 22701 or to the Hopewell United Methodist Church, PO Box 87, Lignum, VA 22726.
