Jacob Franklin Fincham
December 2, 1947 – July 22, 2017

Jacob Franklin Fincham, 69, of Lynchburg went to be with his Lord Saturday, July 22, 2017 following a lengthy illness.
Born in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Bernard Fincham and Frances Beltz Fincham. Jacob was an active member of Thomas Road Baptist Church for over 30 years where he served in the greeter program every day to welcome students, faculty, visitors and staff to TRBC and LCA. He was also actively involved with Liberty Christian Academy. He was a fixture at the school and was a servant to the students at LCA and they loved him. He was a manager for the basketball teams in the 80’s and 90’s and went on many church ministry teams to Myrtle Beach in the summers. Jacob was present at many of the school activities and athletic functions assisting with fundraising and supporting the school in any way. Jacob also actively participated in the Special Olympics for many years. Jacob never met a stranger and he will be missed.
Jacob is survived by one brother, Bernard Fincham of Amherst and his family at Thomas Road Baptist Church and Liberty Christian Academy.
A service celebrating his life will be conducted at 12:00 Noon Friday, August 4, 2017 at Thomas Road Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Falwell and the Rev. David Moquin officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to the service.
