George Bertrum Randolph Jr.

RANDOLPH, George Bertum, Jr. (age 89) of Alexandria, VA. On Friday, Spetember 9, 2017. Beloved husband of 50 years to Maria T. Randolph; loving father of, George B. Randolph, III (Suzanne), Michael H. Randolph (JoAnn), Step-father of Maria Marta Villamayor and Juan Villamayor. Also survived by six grandchildren; Andrew, Michael Jr., Kathryne, Rebecca Randolph, Alejandro and Nora Villamayor. Mr. Randolph was at Graduate of E.C. High school, class of 1945 and received his Bachelors of Science Degree from Wake Forest University in 1945. He then went on to receive his Masters of Science from George Washingtn University in 1970 and earned his Ph.D in 1981 from Columbia Pacific University. Mr. Randolph was drafted into the Army in September 1950, and was assigned to the Army Medical Service after Infantry Basic Training in December 1950; Commissioned in July 1952 as 2Lt. Mr. Randolph served as an Army Medical Administrator, promoted to Colonel in October 1976, and retired from the Army in 1982. Mr. Randolph was born in North Carolina and settled in Alexandria, Virginia in 1982 while working with PHP Healthcare Corporation after living on many Military bases overseas in Canada, Korea, Paraguay, Vietnam and being assigned to the Pentagon while in the Army. During his long career, Mr. Randolph was a High School Science Teacher in Thomasville, NC from 1949-1950 served as a Private in the US Amy earning rank to Colonel from 1950-1982, was Vice President and on the Board of Directors of PHP Healthcare Corporation in Alexandria, VA from 1982-1992. The Funeral Service will be at Ft. Myer Old Post Chapel followed by interment at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors at a later date.
