Allen Alexander Long

Allen Alexander Long, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017. Surviving are his beloved wife Frances (Chandler) Long; two sons David (Lynn) and Allen (Beth) Long, six grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. Also survived by a brother, Joseph (Gale) Long. Allen worked for Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (Metro) for 22 years and retired as Assistant Director of Public Affairs. He previously served the Appalachian Power Company as a substation engineer and McGraw-Hill Publishing Company as news editor for Electrical World. Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
