Mary Courtney Johnston

Mary-Courtney Marks Johnston, 33, of Madison County passed away peacefully on November 8, 2017 in the comfort of her home surrounded by family and friends. She was born on November 15, 1983 in Charlottesville, VA. Mary-Courtney married the love of her life, Brian Johnston, on January 27, 2016 in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. She was the office manager for Wilson Well Drilling in Greene County for over 13 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry W. Marks and paternal grandfather Johnny W. Marks. She is survived by her husband, Brian Johnston and their Labrador retriever, “Zoey;” her mother, Vicki Lillard Marks, her sister Jennifer Marks Lippard and Michael Lippard of Charlotte, North Carolina. She is also survived by her maternal grandparents, David and Judith Taylor, and her paternal grandmother, Lula S. Marks, of Madison; her in-laws, Lee and Laurie Jenkins, and Carl and Tina Johnston; brother-in-law Josh and Julie Johnston, brother-in-law, Andrew Jenkins, and sister-in-law Corrie and David Sirkin. She leaves behind her best of friends, Kate Dunnivan, Andrea Wilson, Amy Dunnivan, Crystal Smith, and Casey Taylor. The Family Visitation will be held at Clore-English Funeral Home 1190 James Monroe Highway Culpeper, VA on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 6pm to 8pm. The Celebration Service for Mary-Courtney’s life will be held at Wilderness Community Church 10501 Plank Road, Spotsylvania, VA on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 2pm.
