Roy Ranson Gowin

Roy “Randy” Ranson Gowin January 16, 1946 - November 13, 2017 Randy Gowin was born January 16, 1946 and passed away on November 13, 2017 at the age of 71. He is survived by his sisters Benita Ripley and her husband Charles, Catherine Parker and her husband Tim, of Lynchburg, Joy LaReau and her husband Rick and brother-in-law, Wayne Milby all of Richmond and a host of nieces and nephews all over the country. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy Elijah Gowin and Isabelle Ranson Gowin, and his sister Pam Milby. He was blessed to have been cared for by loving staff at Central VA Training Center for most of his life and in the last year at Boonsboro Group Home. The family sincerely thanks the many devoted and loyal caregivers. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Randy's remains will be buried in the Gowin Family Cemetery in Buckingham, VA. "But our homeland is in heaven, where our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, is; and we are looking forward to his return from there. When he comes back, he will take these dying bodies of ours and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same mighty power that he will use to conquer all else everywhere."
