Cecil Albrecht, 85, of Woodburn, went to be with Jesus on February 7, 2018. He passed away at the home he built 54 years ago. He was born on Oct 1, 1932 in Bay Port, MI. Cecil was the son of Edwin and Anna (Maust) Albrecht. He married Doris Wyse in Oct 1955. He was a member of Maplewood Mennonite Church. As a building contractor and finish carpenter he enjoyed working with exotic woods and built his family beautiful keepsakes.
Surviving are his wife Doris, sons Tom (Dee) of Goshen; Greg, of Naples, FL; daughters Sherri Albrecht, of Fort Wayne; and Jan (Brian) Ramer of Goshen; Sister Marilyn (Sam) Delagrange; sister-in-law Velma (Willis) Albrecht; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kenneth, and Willis; sisters, Bertha Plank and Joyce Albrecht.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 5pm, Saturday, February 17 at Maplewood Mennonite Church, 4129 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, with calling from 3pm to 5pm prior to the service.
