William Lawrence Mauney

William Lawrence Mauney, 79, of Henrico, formerly of Ashland, passed away on February 22, 2018. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Joyce Brown, Sarah Duncan, Norma Draucker and brother, James Thomas Mauney. Bill worked as Campus Safety Officer at Randolph-Macon College for a number of years. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. Bill was a mason for over 25 years with the Hatcher Cole Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Lois Mauney; daughter, Debbie Barbee; step-son, Carl William Milburn Jr. (Judy); grandchildren, Michelle, Melissa, and Matthew and brother, Bobby Mauney (Rosie). The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 1-2 pm at Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory – Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Highway, Ashland, VA 23005, where a funeral service will follow visitation at 2pm. Interment in Signal Hill Memorial Park.
