Walter Stephen Wilkie, of Newburgh, IN, passed away February 26, 2018. He was born August 26, 1941, to the late Walter and Mildred Wilkie.
Steve was an Army National Guard Veteran and a member at Methodist Temple. He was a Mopar car enthusiast and loved his 69 Plymouth GTX. Steve retired after 30 years at Alcoa and enjoyed being with his (A Crew) in the INGOT Department. He had a huge heart and never met a stranger.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Diane; daughter, Sheree Yeager (Mark Kistner) of Millstadt, IL; grandchild, Collin Yeager of Millstadt, IL; daughter, Amanda Moore (Joey) of Newburgh, IN; grandchildren, Evan Watkins, Brody Moore, Cole Moore; sister, Mary Jo Scott of Evansville, IN; brother, Paul Wilkie (Kristine) of Eagan, MN; nieces; nephews; cousins; and beloved Bichon Frise, Raffi Ella.
The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses, and the entire staff at Deaconess Gateway 6th floor A Tower for their extraordinary care they gave to Steve and his family.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, March 2, 2018, Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, March 1, 2018, and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday, at the funeral home.
